I was looking for some new 225-70-14s for my Roadrunner, and the best price I could find on Cooper Cobras was about $110. I decided to get some local quotes and checked Discount Tires and they are selling them for $75! Their prices for larger tires are the same as everyone else's, so I guess they're trying to clear out the 14s.

Had a hard time finding a cheap 14" tire for my old mini-van. Soon, it'll be just repop/high dollar.

Nice price. I think I paid about $650 for a set of 15" Cooper Cobras from Discount tire. Of coarse that was out the door, mounted & balanced.

Been a Discount Tire customer for many years. Always felt I was treated fairly.

I bought two. Out the door price was $193 and some change.

When I bought my tires several years ago, I had the choice of Coopers or BF Goodrich. They had the Coopers on hand and I asked to check the dates. I was surprised to see that they were only about 3 months old. I wonder if I should be looking into getting some more before they stop making them. That is after I get over the shock of paying $900 for two motorhome tires.

Looks like I shot myself in the ***! :) I went on to Discount Tire's website yesterday and saw the 225-70-14 tires had increased to $92! I called the store I use and the guy said they system tracks searches for tires and uses some algorithm to calculate prices based on search volume. So every time I looked at those tires for the past two weeks, and anyone on here looked them up, we were driving the prices up. :(So my plans to buy two more for future use have been placed on hold.

Oh no. I just looked. Not good.

Some day when we only need them to park in the driveway just maybe the big buggy wheels will disappear.
