Cheap Disc Brake Swap/Feeler Using 2005+ Mustang GT/GT500 brakes...

So... i have a 69 Charger and am wanting better brakes. ive already swapped 78 Volare Discs over to it and since the engine fire i have made my own hyrobooster setup. I have my own side biz and machine and cnc parts, and brake kits now for 1987-2004 Dakotas. and 2005+ Mustangs. Thinking about tackling the brake on my Charger. I wasnt gonna go to crazy with them. I was gonna put the Stock 2008 Mustang GT brakes on my car. I have 17" Torq Thrust 2's so these brakes should fit pretty good.

thoughts?

anyone else be interested in this? i will have to make billet hubs but thats not an issue ive had to make those for the 1987-1996 Dakotas anyway.

thought id share my idea for someone on a budget thinking about upgradeing their brakes...?

I went with 2005 crown Vic dual piston calipers on the drum hub/spindle with a custom 4140 bracket...The crown vic 12" rotor fits the drum hub with the correct bore in the rotor, I looked at a mustang and its too small to fit the stock hub. Its totally a bolt on deal, the earlier crown vic rotor is 12.44" and thicker but the hat section is too tall to work well. If you have access to a waterjet, I can send you a copy of the pattern for the adapter in Cad.

The rears are from a mid 90's explorer, they are the same as what the Jeep GC uses and can be put on an 8 3/4. All told 50 for calipers and brackets, 100 each for bosch rotors, 50 to waterjet the brackets, 20 for new wheel studs. The rears cost 80 from the salvage yard, need new rear rotors yet. Tim

i know doctor diff uses ford rotors and brakes for his kits , but not sure what year?
 
Don't take this the wrong way, it's just a straight forward question. What's cheap about it? That hub you "made" isn't a low buck piece, as is none of the rest that's required.
