Yes, I understand what constitutes a "Sanctuary City". My point is a city with the highest murder rate in the nation would hardly be a reasonable sanctuary for anyone or for any reason.

Now that the violence has hit home with a representative's family member (sadly), maybe there will be a pair grown by that mayor.

Most likely the only thing that will happen is liberals will squawk about gun control. The irony is Chicago already has some of the most strict gun control laws in the US. Of the nearly 4000 shootings that resulted almost 700 deaths so far this year I would bet $1000 none were committed with legally owned or registered guns. Stop and frisk in the neighborhoods where the shootings occur is considered profiling and therefore racist. I keep thinking sooner or later the residents whether black or white will decide enough is enough and beg the police for help. We shall see. In any case the mayor declaring Chicago a sanctuary city that will protect illegal immigrants even if they are criminals is insane. I guess he needs the votes. It's not just Chicago. Practically every major US city that's a shithole now has been ran into the ground by Democrats and liberals. It's what they do...destroy everything around them then move on and "infect" some other part of the country. I live in North Carolina and see this every day...transplants from liberal states moving in and ruining my state. Our good governor, Pat McCrory, is in a vote recount trying to hold on to the governorship from a shithead liberal all because our Republican legislature passed House Bill 2 that requires boys to go to men's restrooms and girls to go to women's restrooms. Go figure. Insanity.
