Actually, the turbines used by Chrysler made very little noise! They are extremely quiet, and do NOT sound like an F16 on takeoff roll! More like a new 2016 car - quiet. There is a little bit of whine heard, but not much. I've heard the Saint Louis car run, nearly 20 years ago. A wonder of engineering!

Chrysler had Turbine cars/engines {concepts anyway}
in the 50's, 60's & into the late 70's & 1 in the 1980 Mirada concept

there's an update on the E-scam listing says;
"it was a test engine from like 1977 LeBaron & one of 7 known" IIRC

there was 4 generations of Chrysler Turbines starting in 1950 IIRC

the lebaron and the mirada are jawdroppers,
i vaguely recall some form of amc electric cars,but ive never even seen a later turbine car.
so thank you for showing me something new/old .

Of the fifty odd cars given to public to drive in 63', one was in Toledo, and we, my parents and me, saw it in traffic. I knew what it was, seeing it featured in a car magazine of the time.

I have the dealer type brochure that Chrysler had printed up for the bronze Turbine cars. My dad picked it up at the 1964 Seattle Worlds Fair.

Long story short I traded my 67 my buddy used to own back to him for my 66 he had lol.
