Classic Car Insurance Claims

I have American Collector Car Insurance. Very reasonable. Had to make a claim the other year when my wife rear ended a crappy old Jeep that brake checked her. Adjuster was a car guy so he knew the process of trying to find some parts. I was satisfied with their service.

Haggerty or Grundy are the way to go. I have had State Farm my entire life on everything I own and had their classic car agreed insurance on one of my Chargers. I switched to Grundy 2 years ago after reading and hearing all of the horror stories and added my other Charger and Challenger now for not much more a year than I was paying at State Farm.

I use Hagerty for 2 classics I have. What I like about them is no limits as to how/where/mileage you can drive your car. As for experience, my brother in California had an old Camaro insured with them a few years ago. The car had an engine fire and was totaled. They paid full agreed value, no hassles.

Hagerty for me. Had a claim last year and no hassles whatsoever!

One of my Coworkers has Haggerty. Somehow he and his buddy backed in to each other at a car show. He also has Haggerty. I know how does that happen????? It did. They contacted Haggerty on a Saturday from the show with pictures sent right after it happened. Both had checks by Tuesday to fix their cars.

Thanks for all the replies. I received a quote from Hagerty and American Collectors. Hagerty is about $200 more a year than American Collectors, I'll be calling them today just to ask about any limitations on labor rates but it seems here both have settled claims painlessly. For about $17 more a month I'll probably end up going with Hagerty.

Grundy here as of last year like the idea of local agents.
Had Hagerty on different cars for over 30 years no problem, never had a claim.
Came down to cost and Grundy was less for more coverage.

More as in a higher agreed value? I'm at $45K for the RR, I figure if it were to be totaled that should hopefully get me another one or at least buy back mine and get it repaired.

No same coverage line for line total policy cost less with Grundy.
