Every August, my little home town hosts a car show in the castle park. While not being able to attend with car this year (my Satellite is awaiting priming and, well, interior + seats), I was there and checked things out. A bunch of American cars, naturally, ranging from AMC Pacers to ginormous showroom-quality Cadillacs...

After wading through rows of GM products of yesteryear (everyone here seems to own an Impala) I managed to find some Mopars parked here and there. Figured I'd share with you some of the gems rolling here in Sweden...

'69 GTX with weird hood scoops. They are '68 style, and solid (no inserts) and I kinda figured they got to be home made... were there ever scoops without engine callouts?

Dodge goodness.

Had to take a pic of this ´57 Belvedere... while not a fan of Exner's "forward look", I did like this one... maybe because it's a bit "Christine-ified"...

'71 Charger, I believe? Not very good at the gen 3 Chargers.

'68 Road Runner... not very fond of the air cleaner solution myself, but to each his own.

Beautiful '70 RR

The engine room was impressive too...

Not a B-body, but thought I'd add this one anyway... this is what Swedish law enforcement drove in the 60's and 70's... I remember the cop Valiants from my childhood. Slant six and Saab front bucket seats, as the front bench was not considered suitable for police business.

I for one love to see car shows from other countries. I'm always kind of interested in what is considered cool elsewhere. As you would expect plenty of GM products, probably a lot of Fords as well. The Mighty Mopar is as usual the more rare one at the shows. You have a few nice Mopars in your Swedish show. Next year you can show off yours too!

Thx for the pics from across the pond!
