Hey guys, I just received a copy of Classic Industries Parts & Accessories new Mopar Catalog (376 pages of full color). They have some neat stuff, like the rear window exterior chrome trim for a 69 RR and also a made up front speaker bracket with 2- 4" speakers installed for the RR. Looks like a nice company with alot of products. I think they are going to give Year One some stout compitition. I went on their website and was able to have it sent for no charge.
 
Beat me to it Elk! just got my copy tuesday, MAN do they have a lot of stuff!! they are def. goin to give year one a run for their money...IF the parts are comparable.

my buddy works for a subsidiary of classic called classic soft trim, and he says their stuff is top notch, but i haven't personally seen it.

Got mine too! Damn thing's already my new bathroom bible. Prices meet or in most cases, better than Year One. You'll be needing it soon Mario, with another B-Body on the horizon. Maybe you should mail them some of your limb's now so you got a bit of credit down the road.

I just flipped through the whole thing online....man that's some serious car-****!! I had to order a copy!
 
There was a show on Speed that showed them build a '70 or '71 Challenger ground up from parts they had in stock..... Year One gonna have their hands full on this one.

Priced out the bumpers for the Belvedere $150 less to get front and rear bumps from them.....

I am a loyal customer but I do want to save money in these hard times....
 
I just sent in an order for 700 bucks and change. They Back ordered 375 of the 700. We'll see how long the rest of it takes.

Your wife circles stuff? Thats incredible! I have wave the UPS driver down at the end of the block, and sneak up the alley with my parts lol.

Been there! Wife said once, i was the only one she knows thats on a first name basis with the ups guys.

My room (Radio Room) here was full of parts, garage, and L-room porch. 90 percent from Year ONE.. YEP SNEAKY BETTER...

Well, when you're done being a narrow minded fascist, you might try talking to a few folks who have used these guys and ask them about the quality and availabilty of all them wonderous items in their catalogs.

Remember, "To Serve Man" is actually a cookbook.
 
I would, and have done several.. Getting ready to do a 82 Camaro. Boring car shows if everyone has the same car. Theirs room for any classic cars in the world now... I imagine Rev your speaking of an older Camaro but same as any when restoring, easier to get parts for the Bow-Ties.. then some cars. My 73 some you just cant get in a catalog which im thinking of a Duster which I believe is going to be the same just running thru year one and C-Industries new one real quick... Ron

I work for a shop that does primarily Chevy restoration/modifying. We actually use Classic Industries a lot. They do a good job and are usually pretty helpfull. There is a tendency towards parts being on backorder and parts in the catalog that are not available (yet). There is a pretty decent percentage of parts that are sourced offshore (for you China haters) and the fit and finish of some of the stuff isn't worth writing home about. (Put a dash together with the repop stuff, it's fun).

Still, with that being said, it is good that there will be another major supplier in the hobby. I only am saying to check it out before you part with the only thing they care about for the thing that you care about.

I respect your opinion but I have owned and driven 38 vehicles in my lifetime from just about every manufacturer at some point to include 3 chevys. I had a 79 Camaro Z28, 86 Camaro IROC, and a 88 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup. All three of them were absolute junk. Electrical issues mainly. After that experience I will NEVER own or restore another Chevrolet in my lifetime. Mopar has been much better to me, never been let down by a dodge (Or a ford truck for that matter). Ford cars on the other hand are right up there with all chevrolets.

I guess I could see why some others would enjoy fixing and restoring chevrolets, I was just speaking from my personal experience and im sorry if I offended anyone. Ill take ANY chrysler product over ANY chevy product any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

They are not in order. Out of all those the '93 Bronco, and '90 F-250 were the most reliable both registering over 230k miles. None of the ford trucks ever left me stranded. All three of the chevies were the worst of the bunch. The subaru's even for station wagons were pretty peppy. Best fuel mileage was the '94 Montero diesel. Fastest was the '77 Monaco highway patrol car, would litterally plant you in the seat on launch.

Vehicles that I still own or gave to someone in the family are the 1970 Challenger Deputy, the 1987 Fifth Avenue, 1979 Camaro Z28, 1973 Roadrunner, 1989 F-150 (whats left of it), 1974 Satellite, and the 2006 Grand Caravan, rest were sold or totalled.
