Hoping a lot of the area racers are planning on coming to this race. There is a class for everyone Max Wedge, Hemi, Quick 16, Super Pro, Pro and Sportsman. Good payouts and a very neat nostalgic track. We will be there, along with many of our freinds from central Ohio.

Just be careful if you're running in the 8's or faster.... VERY short shutdown if they are running 1/4 mile.

is this the same race you were talking about in Md?

you said you were going to clay city, so which one did you go to? oe did you go to both or any?

We will be at the Stock/Superstock race in Hagerstown, MD that weekend. But I am sure you will have a great weekend racing there. Can't wait to hear the details

We went to Clay City KY. Just got home, a real neat nostalgic track. Had a fuel pump leaking after our third pass Sat. missed the call but was able to piece it back together for Sunday's race. Had the bad luck of a -.001 red eye in eliminations. Will definitly go back to this track, It also had a 3/4 mile winding through the woods return road complete with big snakes on the road!
The Hagerstown, Maryland race is November 7th at Mason-Dixon Dragway.

did you air it out this weekend or are you still saving the motor for longevity?
:munky2:

We shift it at 6500, dropped foot stall 300rpm due to a questionable track conditions ran low 9.60's. I am going to make a few chassis changes this fall and change to a 4.10 gear. We are hoping for 9.30's in about any weather or marginal track conditions. There were a lot of squirrely/loose passes and two crashes.

thought you had that monster of a car's chassis all figured out.:sleepy2:
keep on trying to get it right! you'll figure it out someday.:icon_axe:
maybe you'll get it out of the 60's.
my pump gas 65 plymouth goes that fast!
aren't you running out of tricks!:idea1:

i was there saturday, lots of great looking cars , saw your car liked it very much ,

WE at least travel and go to all the major NSS races we can. That's great if you can run that good on pump gas. Why don't you bring it out to some of the large NSS races and compete with it. We are trying to get high car counts to make this class get big. I think you will find that running on a set index (That you must claim on Friday)for a three day race, especially on a marginal track in the heat is more of a challange than you think it is. You must have at least two tenths in your pocket to adjust with. There is NO dialing up or down, you stick with the index you claim or you are out.

We really liked the track and the nostalgic setting, Met a bunch of great folks as well. There is talk of an April race along with the fall race we will come down for both.

so what side of the fence are you on tonight?
I seee your really friendly and loquacious with that joke fellow lately?
are you having fun yet?:icon_hang:
Very impressive imo!:idea1:

I try to have a good time talking to everyone, had a great time racing since the Nats can't believe we have logged 5.500 miles on the rig, wanted to go to the race at Atco but had already committed to the Clay City race and am glad we went there, neat racetrack.

Really?

581" Hemi right? lighter then our car.... pretty impressive there slim... someday you will dial what we run..

and I bet you have never spun before? not even at quaker at the hemi reunion? We have been 1.30 flat in the 60ft... anyone who has seen our car run will tell you it leaves....

Ill run your hemi car... anytime any place if you think you can beat our "tricks".. Come on out to an actual NSS race... get away from those sea level tracks you run at... and come run for some cash my man...

Don't back out this time.

my 557" wedge against your 581" "pumpgas" hemi.... next year. what do you say? somewhere in PA... its equal distance. Put your money where your mouth is...:bootyshake:

Just a friendly wager... :icon_hang:

NOPE,I wanna see the 2 blue 65 dodges go side by side. They seem to be VERY similar combo's.OOOOOOOOPS,I am wrong on this:icon_hang:The wompin wedge now has B1's and picked up lots!!Either way I should be there with my camera and matbe drag out my street car.Who's bringin' the skirt steaks.Good eating at the "BEAVER"

It would be nice to get a bunch of NSS cars at Beaver. Hopefully we can get the staging lanes looking like the Monster in St. Louis.

What compression do you consider a pump gas motor?? I heard that Allen said he built that motor with 14-1 compression. Does one of the local stations have C14 available at the pump??? Where I live a pump gas motor runs on 92. Just curious....

you heard wrong.
its 10.8 compression running on 93 octane.it was supposed to be run on the street but then i picked my old car again and kept the hemi as a race car only.
id rather drive this one on the street anyway.
