Cleaning up the instrument panel

Found it. Im disappointed I cant find my copy of the mag. I read the article at least twice, but heres a link. His "god awful" comment about the wood grain is on the next to last page. Apparently the March 2015 edition of Mopar Action.

btw, anyone know what color astratone is? I remember searching and not finding anything, but its probably some sort of argent/metallic type color.
I've got that article. John hated the woodgrain and the front license plate bracket. He designed the car with no front license plate.
Best I can determine, Astratone is similar to the color/finish of the center caps on Rallye wheels. Been thinking about painting mine too; cluster, panel above glovebox, and console plate.

Is it like the light argent color? The Shaker bubble color is approximately what I went with.
I painted all three of those panels. Not happy with the look on the console plate, but I will redo it. Still need to paint the small fake woodgrain bands on the door panel, and going to go with the Duncan Motorsports pistol grip shifter, and that should complete the mods Im doing to the interior.
Took the car for a long drive today now that Ive gotten most the interior back together (last weekend I cut off the column shift indicator and finished the collars) and wow it sure drives nice.
Wish the oem am-fm stereo sounded better (modern electronics have spoiled me), but it comes with the territory.
I love this car!

Article read that he wanted a "cast" finish, so may be unsanded fascia is best. He wanted an almost industrial look to the car. I have a few more changes to do to mine.
