Clear coat question

Can I spray Acrylic Urethane clearcoat over a Urethane clear coat ? Don't know much about reactions or if this is a big mistake. A friend gave a gallon of Acrylic Urethane clear and activator, and need to spray over some spots I missed in the engine bay.. that has Urethane clear on it., both of thse clears mix 4/1..help a guy out trying to learn this stuff. Thanks

If the Urethane is fully cured all you need to do is scuff it with a white scotch brite pad.

Thanks Guys. I should have taken the time to learn more from the body shop guys when I( worked at the garage...sadly they are no longer with us.
