Clutch pedal sticking to the floor

After removing the OC spring- which was an awesomely fun task- just for giggles I hooked the clutch rod back up and gave the pedal a push. To my surprise, the pedal worked like it was supposed to. So my guess is that even though the clutch is a B&B style with three fingers it is behaving like a diaphragm style whereby ( exactly what has been written about over and over again) you have to remove the OC spring. My guess is that with the way the clutch materials are made now vs 41 years ago, you don't need as much spring tension in the pressure plate to get the job done. Therefore there isn't enough push back to overcome the OC spring tension. Idk, I'm not an engineer so I'm probably not using the right vocabulary or maybe I've got it bass akward with the end result being the same. Whatever, it works now and I can move on to the next disaster area of the vehicle. I think I have over carbureted it now so that'll be the next discussion I bring up after I look around the forum. Thanks again for your thoughts and help!
