Good day!
Does anyone have anything good to say about Coker redline bias ply tires? I'd like to try a set of Firestone Wide Ovals on my '67 R/T. On the forum I've read lots of negative things about Coker, but there are simply not many MADE IN USA redline tires available. I'm all ears so before I blow $2500 please share the good, the bad and the ugly. Many thanks!

The set that were on my 67 GTX are 20 years old but I have a hard time recommending them - too many user complaints. I went to glue on red walls this time to save money and get a better tire.

I've had them on my GTX for three years. I would have preferred the Goodyear Polyglas version from Kelsey Tire, but they were on back order. No troubles with mine, but I've heard plenty of horror stories. I ran the radial version of the Coker with the Firestone logo, and bias ply tread pattern, on an earlier car. Purchased them in 2018, and the current owner is still running them.

I sent 2 sets of 4 Coker bias ply tires back to Coker. When the balancer says it's going to take over a pound of weight to correct the issue, what would you do? All 4 tires we tried to balance in the first set. All were at the least 8 oz off. When the second set arrived the first tire was the only one I tried. 14.7 oz is what the machine showed. I stopped them there. My question was are my rims true? Answer yes. On the machine without a tire only one required anything, and that was less than 1/4 oz. I bought Diamondback redline radials from Summit. The most weight on any of those tires was 2 oz total. My recommendation is run!

I think I got incredibly lucky. The next time around I'm going with Kelsey. I'm guessing the quality issues are not going to get better with time.

I bought a set of Redline Coker radials for my 1967 R/T. At 4,000 miles, one of the front tires developped a lump on the tread. My local tire shop said that the plies had separated and the tire was junk. All these tires took a lot of weight to balance them. I purchased a new pair of DiamondBack Redlines to replace the fronts. They installed on the same rims with very little weight to balance. That just told me that the Cokers were not very well made. I eventually made a side table in my Mancave with the junk Coker. Unsafe at any speed!

Ive run the redline bias plies on a car before . They were the Kelsey Goodyear polyglas versions. I had no complaints, F70-14s

Buddy of mine ran the Coker redline radials on his 67 RT, nothing but problems

I have a set of Diamond back redline radials for my current car , LOVE them They are mounted on 15inch Chrome Magnums
Recently did a set of the glue on whitewall stripes , And I like them, A LOT. They are on the stock 14inch steel wheel with stock wheel covers

That way I can change it up from time to time
