Colour question

I recently looked at a 67 GTX. Decent car, but one question keeps bothering me. the fender tag says 881 for the paint, which is "Bright Blue". The colour is hardly what I would call a bright blue - it's lighter than B7 for instance, but certainly not as bright as B5. Anyway, I havent been able to find a good color chart on the 'net, and my memory says that there was actually a pretty bright blue available in 67 - sort of a metallic "Petty" blue if you'll allow.
This car is the same hue all over - jams, underhood etc- but also has obviously been redone in years past.
The description/name and one little place that has a minor peel revealing [apparently] a lighter shade on one of the inner fenders is bugging me.
This is certainly not a paint I would describe or name "bright blue" - does this appear to be the correct/original hue for the car?
What say ye who know much more than I?

Yes, that GTX in the pics is the 67 bright blue color. It is the brightest blue that was available in 67, and was available on A and B bodies. An almost identical color was available on C-bodies, but I think it was just called Medium Blue metallic for c-Bodies.
My 67 Coronet hardtop was that color originally, but is a brighter blue now. They were trying to match the paint, and had painted the under side of the hood, had me look at it, and I decided I liked it alot better than the correct 67 bright blue.

I, personally, love the darker blues like B7 and this 67! Sharp color.
