column shifter chang to floor shift automatic

Hi, i would appreciate any help i can get on the shifter placement of a 68 satellite

If you are going with a factory console shifter then follow the floor dimples where the bell crank and boot go through the floor. It's a flat spot about 2.5" in diameter with three equally spaced dimples around a larger dimple for the bell crank to pass through the floor. Just adjust the shifter position so the bell crank is well aligned.

thinks i had not pulled back the carpet to look I was hoping there would be somthing like that to go by
