I am going to install a common ground strip under the dash to clean up the mess under there.

Should I ground to frame or run to the battery in the trunk.

How far can you run and still have a good ground.

All my builds run a floating ground at the cowl, which runs directly to the battery. The battery[trunk mounted] is also grounded to the body, as well as the engine being grounded. Bad grounds, can be a real headache. I run a #0 or #2 for power and ground to the cowl access points.

I will go that route. Battery and motor also grounded to body

Thanks

Never had a problem grounding to the frame , just make sure it's metal to metal...and don't cheap out on the grounding strap .

mmissile...what is a floating ground? Never heard that before.

Term my wiring guy used for having a ground point away from the battery, and having a point in the car to make a direct ground to the battery. We used 2-0 gauge for the terminal block from the battery. You can't count on the body to make great grounds. We do the same thing with another terminal point for power.

They're the 2 gold blocks on the bottom right of the panel for my current project.

Ahh, got ya. Thanks for that.

Actually was thinking the same thing for my panel/dash, using a common grounding block. Seems it would be more positive ground for wiring things up.

Looks good!
