In the garage. Under the hood. Again.
FINALLY!!! My blaster actually decided to cooperate and blast these things;after a final examination and getting the caps matched, they're off to get re-sized on Monday. With ARP bolts,of course.

Or,are they? Here's why I ask:

A couple of them are a little thin on one side of the small end. The "worst" ones are pictured. I'm also planning on getting them bushed for a .990 pin,as the pistons I've got have that size pin(VERY slightly used Venolias with a mild dome for open chamber heads). I've got a Stage V-B head that I need a match for-hint,hint-that should match the slugs. I will get pics of those out tomorrow for your opinions.

I need to know guys;I plan to run to 6000-no more-and do any of you foresee a potential issue? They're thin from the forging process,NOT cuz I got over-zealous with the grinder. I was VERY careful to remove as little material as possible. Because I ain't a rich boy,I'm trying to do the best I can on a tight budget.

Oh,as far as the heads;Besides the Stage V piece,I've also got one -518M Max wedge style head(the Mopar repro) and an Indy dual-plane intake with the big ports that I wouldn't mind using, which would mean a change in pistons. Anyone want to do a little trading?

As always;THANK YOU for any help and advice-even if you don't think they'll work.

I usually have more than my fair share of rods laying around and will pick the best 8 from the group for high performance engines. That thin one will probably be fine for 6000 rpm....

What you are seeing is very common and won't be an issue. Or I will say it hasn't been an issue for me.
