Convertible top

Tried to search this subject, but didn't seem to find anything. My top motor runs when I hit the switch, but does not activate the top cylinders. Low on oil?? If so what is required to fix it. This is a car that has been restored, but has been sitting for a couple years.

Convertible top motor

Your motor and pump should look something like this one. The black plug is for checking the oil level. When the pump runs is it quiet or does it make a buzzing sound? Buzzing usually indicates low oil.

Its more of a whirring sound, its definatly trying to do something!!!
