converting a b body auto console

has anyone tried to convert a automatic 69 b body auto console to a 4 speed console? the side part with curve section. thanks

I did it once when in high school 35 years ago, and am about to do it again, tho I've forgotten more than I remember. I have seen a molded fiberglass piece on ebay for 85 bucks that replaces the factory cardboard one, and are glues over it, with a chrome trim around the edge. A curved section of the side of the console must be cut off to accomodate the metal hump addition that will be screwed or welded to the Trans hump, and of course the top plate will have to be switched as the auto isn't the same as 4 speed one, available from Chinese mfr for around $450.
