way cool pix. i started driving in 1979 and i do remember gas station attendants. it was usually some grease monkey kid with a wrench in his pocket and a red nasty rag in the other. thats also when getting your car fixed at a gas station was in bloom.....very few today do that....its either get your car fixed....or get gas..... aint it funny how now-a-days you gotta do everything yourself from getting your drink at McDonalds to pumping your own gas...AT 20 TIMES THE PRICE!
I worked at an Arco Station in the early 70's. Remember the Arco Graphite oil? Full service and the credit card machines were a pain in the snow and ice. Also remember the Sunoco Blue 260 Dial pumps.
