My first farmall was a MD. Starts on gas then after it warms up it switches to diesel. Carb and distributor on one side and injection pump and injectors on the other. The head has a recess that raises compression when a valve is shut. I love old tractors and any old engines. Currently have a farmall m and an IH utility 300.

Cool old tractors! How bout one of these? Built in the 40's with Chrysler industrial flat head 6 and 5 speed logging truck running gear. Mopars hand in the tractor industry. We had one on the farm I grew up on. My dad got a speeding ticket with it pulling a grain trailer 45 mph in a 30 zone. Probably the only guy in the world to get a ticket on a tractor. It had fluid in all 4 tires and at 55 mph the fluid would get out of balance and the front would get out of control and start dancing. Pretty dangerous but we had a lot of fun with it.

Here are some old tractors. Show takes place in Ederville, NC the first weekend every November. Ederville Train and Tractor Show. A huge event. I never miss it!
