while under my 70rr 383 i noticed a drop of coolant on my exhaust manifold where it meets the head at one of the exhaust manifold studs. would this be from the stud sticking into the water jacket?

i have the same intermittent drip on the near the last plug river side closest to firewall. Drops onto starter. Aint nothing like a MOPAR
:headbang:

The front and rear manifold studs on both sides of the block go into the water jackets.

permatex

You will want to reinstall the exhaust studs using a thread sealant. I have used permatex aviation thread sealant #3 form a gasket and it works well, but permatex sells another thread sealant that is teflon based in a white tube.

ALL exhaust manifold studs go to water.
