Have been told that a 4 blade fan cools better than a fan with more blades. -- Is this true ?

So would a two-bladed fan cool better than a four-bladed fan?

You'd have to know the blade pitch first. Luxury cars will often have more blades but less pitch, resulting in the same airflow but running quieter. If the airflow is the same, you're better off with a four blade fan which will likely weigh less; less mass for the engine to speed up.
