She’s looking like a Super Bee again!!
Restoring the ram charger intake system for my 69 super bee. I know they’re black but is there a specific color or shade of black
Brownish!They are NOT Black.. they are Brown...
I had my original color matched and it came too brown when we shot everything. I fogged it with some mat black and a heat gun to make it match. I was all full of myself having the color copied and then when it came out of the booth I had a what the hell moment.Okay.. we'll call it Walnut Brown.. that make you happy! LOL

I think the fiberglass strands messed with the paint companies camera for my mix. But to make up for it I made dies to install hollow tube rivets with the claw style rollover and used my arbor press.Dark Walnut... it matched to what I would call exact against the inside surfaces of the box that had never seen light or engine grease. Same as the heater box.. it's not black either..

Nice. Thank you. I have not taken it apart yet but I know there a a few small crack on the outside. It’s there a restore kit or do I need one?Dark Walnut. All depends what work you are doing. If the box didn't need repairs it should be a wash and done. If you had to fix crack and paint..yes Dark Walnut is as close as you'll get..

Don hall fixed mine. Looks like new.Aside from the great help that dadsbee and chtampa have already provided, here are two places that may be able to help with parts or other questions;
Allen Wilson at http://www.n96airgrabber.com/
Don Hall at https://www.facebook.com/AIRGRABBERRESTORATION/
Thank you for the thread. Great information you have provided here.Not going to go through it all again...it's already on this forum. You'll have to source rivets and everything else is available from Detroit Muscle Technologies, Partsmix or Megaparts.
