Have a 66 Belvedere 273 2 barrel automatic, been having a bit of fuel leak around bowl gasket and decided to pull the carb run it through the ultrasonic and install a kit.
Turns out the carb on it, number 4957s is showing to be off early 70 318 pickup trucks. Now it really doesn't matter as it seems to run well but was thinking I'd try and find the "correct"
carb for the car. Looking online I'm finding carb numbers like 4113 4116... but no real agreement if which ones were used.
Is there a source to find what was actually correct?
Thank You

The origional 273 engine had a Carter 1-1/4" BBD with 1-7/16" throttle plates and 1-3/16" venturii. I do not have a listing for the Carter BBD number. Should be listed in FSM.

Thanks, I found a copy of the FSM and it looks like it should be a 4114S for the automatic trans models.
Did find another source showing it as 4114SA...guessing they just added an A on the end to indicate auto trans. application.

The additional "A" in the part number, as in SA, the A signifies an in process engineering revision to the origional design......maybe metering or casting material or internal components. It does not mean automatic transmission. Just thought you might like to know.
