Can someone tell me or post a photo of the correct "dog dish" hub caps for a '62 Savoy?
I know they are 10" just trying to determine the correct look. Also will they fit the speedway steel wheels?

Most of the aftermarket steel wheels will be 9" hub caps. The 10" caps can be adapted a couple of ways.

I'm thinking this is the correct cap for the '62 Savoy. Wait for conformation.

This is a belvedere, but the caps are the same.
I think kryslerkid's are 63

The 62 bel is a Bob Mosher car. He specializes in 62-65 max and hemi recreations.

Seems like the 62 has the rings stamped into the cap, while the others are smooth?

66/440 is correct about ringed planet style! The 63-64 had the ones pictured!

I believe there are a couple (or three), caps that could have ended up on the ‘62s....I’m also sure I don’t know for sure....I had searched these cars out before inspecting another ‘62 MW car that was for sale last year, but didn’t work out.....I know the good folks here on FBBO will recognize these four vehicles in the posts, these are 1962 Savoy dog dish possibilities.....I’m sure others will chime in.
Both brown cars are low mile well documented, the one in the first photo had the same owner from new until early 90’s IIRC. The red car I saw at auction some yrs ago and supposed to be correct, the black car I believe was built Bob M, and looks to be the same caps as came on the ‘62 Plymouth Valiant, which could certainly be correct for a ‘62 Savoy. This might confuse more than help, but hope it helps!

Next question: are 62 dodge and plymouth caps different ? (I dont know the answer!)

Yep. That's what takes all the research between the two plus they had more than one style for each model. Today you can't go by pictures you see on the internet because so many are using different ones. I'd like to see factory brochures or parts manual pictures.

The black Plymouth Wagonwedge posted I believe was the Plymouth Valiant hubcap.

Thats a great idea! The factory brochures, & parts books reveals a good info...not sure if I have a ‘62 Plymouth sales brochure, but will in my stash tomorrow.

I looked through my '62 FSM and it only shows the two higher end models with the full size covers.

Yes you can , for years I told customers about putting a 9 inch cap inside a 10 inch cap. It works , how well , I don't know never tried it. There are other ways to do it too.
Then I decided to spend the time and money to get the correct wheel center made , so it
will fit the standard size steel wheel band ( 13.25 inches ). Then this center can be used to build a correct looking wheel , either by the customer , himself or a professional builder.

I agree with khryslerkid, almost positive those are right for a 62 plymouth with hubcaps. I remember them with the black detail (or at least thats the way i would prefer).
Still no answer yet for my question..... are the 62 dodge different?
.I had a box, a pretty good sized one, of dealer brochures from every new car show i went to as a kid (50s and 60s)
I bet the answer would be in there, ......if i could find it!
