Recently purchased a 70 RR Convertible. Have had convertibles for years (mostly GM cars) but this is my first Mopar. Was wondering if anyone could post info & photos of the correct way to fold the top when putting it down. I always put the top down when I drive it when I can...weather permitting but always put the top up when it is parked either at home or when I get to a cruise night, show, etc.... so most of the time it is in the up position but have noticed that it seems to get wrinkled very easy and the wrinkles do not go away very quickly......just wondering if I am "folding" it the wrong way maybe...From what I can see there are two ways to fold the top when putting it down just not sure which way is the best way...thanks

I never noticed how the top folds on my '69 Convertible. I just let the power top do its thing. My top does have the glass back window and is more of a canvas material.
Not sure what material your top is?

X2 same here. Had a 70 Sat before and now 68 R/T. I just let them do their thing also cause I'm sitting in the front seat when it's folding away.

wait it just occured to me that you may be talking about the top cover and not the top is that it or can you show pics of what you mean?

BTW I didn't realize the car in your avatar was a convert so thumbs up I'd like to see pics anyway.

I just make sure that it dosn't kink while it's going down.

my E-bod has a manual top.. I just make sure nothings folded over or kinked and put her down

I don't pay too much attention on my 69 GTS convertible when folding down, but one thing I have seen is damage to the top if it's left down for a long time. In some places the wrinkles will become holes because the top shakes as you drive or perhaps the elasticity of the material is exceeded at the wrinkle point so failure occurs. I do not store my car with the top down. It's also best to put the top up when it's still warm out. It's easier to latch and the wrinkles may go away sooner. My $.02.
