The clock restarted June 7th when I brought the car to Mike DeVee at Muscle Car Alley (in the middle of a forest in Oregon) for body and paint. He has just completed his fifth Road Runner so all the body contours are quite fresh in his head. I have seen his work and he does a nice job so I'm comfortable bringing my baby to him for resuscitation. He commented on how nice the floors are - and based on his more recent rust bucket jobs - I replied "it will be like you are on vacation."

The car: My LA built and sold 68 RM21 RR that I bought in Feb 82 and is completely numbers matching. 383, PS, Bendix disc brakes, auto, decor package, rear speaker, performance axle package (3.55), W1 with black top and hood blackout. As is with all my other cars this will be a day two car - totally factory body with bolt on mods. When I got the car in 82 it had slot mags and headers and that's the way it's going back together. I'm the third owner.

Here are some pics getting the car off the trailer. Excuse the hokey-ness but I'm happy to report no Road Runners were harmed during this exercise. After the unloading and punching a hole in my trailer tire we had lunch at this cool place in Grants Pass. I will note that it's very difficult to buy a tire in Grants Pass on a Sunday (but it is possible to get a good lunch), so I did the next best thing. Took off the flat tire, moved the good tire to the rear axle so I had equal braking and made the 400 mile trip on three tires without incident. IMG_2022 (Large).jpgIMG_2033 (Large).jpg

There must be something about Plymouth on trailers....when I picked up my GTX in '97, we blew a tyre on the tandem axle trailer. Got home OK, and it looks like your trip was good also. Love the setting where your Roadie will be resurrected. :hello2:
