CRAFTSMAN 159 Piece Mechanics Tool Set (CMMT12125)

Anyway, this would be a good garage starter set for your teenage kid or grandkid. I was perusing Car & Driver and I saw this set priced at $99.00 and free shipping. Looked it over this afternoon. I don't see anything outwardly bad about the pieces. Also, the blow molded case is sturdy. Time will tell...tools and case.

Lifetime Warranty of course.

I have one of those that goes with me off roading. Has saved so many others. Well that and my battery starter thing.

I bought my son-in-law one of these for Christmas and a tool chest for his birthday, on the 21st. He’s not super handy but, he’s trying and it’s good to have, when I’m there doing something. I have him work with me, when the school has breaks. He definitely wants to learn.

I think we all pretty much started with a starter set something like this. Then it's like being a crack junky after that.
I was helping my younger son (professional mechanic), unload his 4 large chests the other day as he just got a new gig. Grunting I remarked "Jesus Christ you have allot of tools".
He responded "Shut up Pops, your tool box is a 1,600 square foot building". Fair enough.

Well that sucks..... free shipping doesn't apply outside USA it seems.

For that money, I'll just buy a dozen 10mm sockets and be done with it.
