has anyone vented the valley pan rather then the valve covers.on my current build i just finished up too hand made and mirror finish aluminum valve covers.seems like a shame to punch a hole for a breather when i can vent the rear of the valley pan behind the intake.(its a victor with lots of room at the pan)has anyone else tried this,i can see no reason why it wouldnt work?

No reason I can think of why it wouldn't work. You'd just need to baffle the port you put in to help keep it from sucking oil up. Are you planning to run header evacuation or a pump?

i already have a screw together baffel, and a vac pump in the future.but just gonna run a breather for now.

You talking atmospheric venting or PCV? Just seems to me with not putting a baffle below either like you can on the valve covers it could get pretty damn messy.

EDIT: Sorry I so completely didn't read what you said LOL my bad.
