I have a friend looking for a 440 crankshaft 4.250 that will fit Chrysler rod bearings.
Thanks

440 Source has em. I have one in my 496. 383 block, 4.25 Inch crank. You need to specify main journal size, either for a 440 block, or a 383/400 low deck block. The 440 ones are a larger diameter.

all the cranks listed above have BBC rods
Using Chrysler Rods is tough in a stock block
how do you fit the oil pickup?
and be prepared for lots of grinding
price external oil pickups
Why?

The issue is the pickup boss. The bigger rod pin means the rods hit the pickup boss. So you have to convert to external, and clearance that area. Plus they're heavier.
It would be cheaper to buy Chevy pin rods and run the available cranks.

I will relay to my friend, who asked me to see if I could find one on this forum.
Thanks

The rods hit the oil pickup boss
so you use chevy 2.2 rods
then you can use a longer stroke
and the chevy rods now hit the oil pickup boss...

OP there are mopar rod cranks out there
We used to use used top fuel cranks- where strong is needed - maybe with better materials they use chevy rods IDK (you can break anything)

My friend says he has Scat rods that he wants to use with the 4.250 crank. He knows that some notching has to be done. Still looking for the Crankshaft.

the whole idea around the 4.25" crank is to use BB chevy rods for internal clearance.

Not my build. Not looking for a discussion. Just trying to help a friend who does not use a computer find a part. Iam not trying to be a smart ***, but I talked with him again today and he still wants this crankshaft.
Thanks

Good luck to him. I don't know of any although somewhere there might be something really old.

The 4.15" stroke crank uses the Mopar rod end size if that helps?
As mentioned almost all the 4.25" cranks will have the smaller 2.2" rod size for clearance.

I've done 1/2 inch and 5/8 strokers with stock size rods- a lot more work and some extra weight
I can remember with NITRO using Olds 3" crank bearings and stock size rods for a 500 inch motor
they still eventually crack
