Well after sweating my butt of along with my Crew Chief Jon aka. 69a100, we got the new motor in and married up to the overhauled tranny. This build of mine is really an *** Pain. It never wants to cooperate no matter how thoroughly and meticulously I plane and do dry runs with it. But, we at least got it in place today. Tomorrow is a rest day...that concrete is really busting' my Arse...and on Thursday I will finish up checking all attaching bolts, nuts, couplers, links, lines, and what ever else I can think of so that Friday I can get the intake back on and the carb hooked up along with the wiring. Should go smooth from now on...hopefully. I plan on firing it up early next week...my Crew Chief has Reserves this weekend...so I will update accordingly. Like I have stated in other post that if this time it is still not working as it should, it will at least be a running car that will be put up for Sale. And if it does come together as it should then I will have one sweet ride...cr8crshr

I hope all goes well this time... you've well earned it....

Yep it is a blast working together. Oh we at times go around and round about things, but as long as we both have been playing with MOPARS he has always been there helping me out. And me as well with his projects. I will be heading over to do some work on the car in about an hour. Just finishing tightening things up and installing the sub-systems. I have had this car apart so many times now that I basically can do things with my eyes closed and from memory. That being said I always have the FSM...Factory Service Manual...Parts Book, and a book with copies of the original Blue Prints to help me out. The one constant I do see on a lot of these Boards is how many out there just don't use the references available to help and guide them. They then ask questions repeatedly which gets rather old at times. I am all for helping out with my knowledge gained, etc., but I would like to see more in this hobby be a little more self reliant than some that are coming up...

cr8crshr/Tuck :iamwithstupid: I don't mind helping either, but if someone does need help... Also one of my pet peeves is... Most people not giving us more specific information & details, of their exact combo, symptoms, year, make, model, relevant mods or changes, engine size, trans, cam, carb, ignition, gears, yada yada yada, what ever seem "relevant to the problem in question"... More info is better, than less or than back & forth, trying to pry information out of someone wanting help... IMHFO, This all will help us, to give anyone asking some of these questions, like you said, sometimes "over & over again", an educated guess, from our great, friendly, knowledge base we have on here/FBBO... my signature line says it all

looks very nice!i love the clean new look.just a bit of info for your library, next time try putting the motor and trans together outside the car and intstall as a unit.all you need to do is jack up the rear as far as you can get it.makes for less work on your back, under the car.

I told him that and he wanted to do it his way, I didn't argue as it's his build and I felt that things would go more smoothly with them married up. However I did almost read him the riot act about it when he started bitchin about being a pain to get everything lined up and into position, but we got it.

Yep you sure did my Brother....Actually in my perfect World I would have done the complete k-member and engine/trans out of the car and then lowered the body down over everything then button it up. But alas...I crawl around on the Slab. 67 Coronet...you are right also that it will actually go a lot smoother than the tranny first then the engine. But in my own way, I didn't want to have to remove the exhaust head pipes which were in the way of things so I opted to do it that way. Still after doing it for a number of times, just seemed that this one was a lot more finicky then past installs. But we got every thing married up and bolted up today. In fact, we wound up semi re-hanging the exhaust...TTI H pipe @ 2.5 inches...and it now is fitting a lot better. Much tighter and balanced underneath. Got the motor mounts all checked and tightened with the exception of the driver's side front bolt as I have torque strap...Schumacher's...as it will be easier once I drop the car down off of the jack stands. The torque converter to flex plate bolts were installed and torqued to FSM specs. I went this time with SFI solid round flex plate and boy what sweet unit it is as compared to the originals that Ma MOPAR blessed us with. I have to install the starter and then hook up the tranny linkage and kickdown. I will get those done tomorrow along with the intake manifold and carb. Then re-hook up the wiring and the battery and we should be ready to fire it up. I will be going with straight H2O for the initial fire up then drain and fill with Anti-freeze. I will have some more pics tomorrow for you guys. This is starting again to be fun. Just hope the momentum stays there...cr8crshr/Tuck
