Crazy dream project!

Speaking of Mad Max, Funny thing I just watched Road Warrier last night on Encore or something, no yellow pursuit cars in that one...

Yeah, "Road Warrior" is a much better movie overall. The first ten minutes of "Mad Max" is the best thing about it. In fact, it's still my favorite chase scene of all time. The clip that started my obsession:

Find some stills or pause the movie...there are several different stripe and spoiler combos. IIRC that movie held the record for lowest production cost to highest gross sales ratio until Titanic. Again, IIRC it was 100K to shoot.

I think a grabber hood on a 4d Maverick with some generic flares and spoilers, with the stripes, and maybe a "driving" light bar, and you'd be close enough.

That sitelink I posted used to sell sticker kits including the MFP shield.

Don't forget your leather jacket and light blue t shirt.

...and the story is that because early American police officers typically wore badges made of "copper", the name stuck...and those down under typically wore badges made of...'bronze".

Maybe one of our members from that part of the planet can confirm or dispute that.

Damn, YY1. I think you're more into this movie than me, bronze! :headbang:

Don't know if you checked it out, but the last DVD release of "Mad Max" had the original Australian English dialogue, which they dubbed American English over when they brought the film here. The commentary on the DVD is great too- IIRC the cameraman talked about being on the back of the motorcycle shooting the "Goose" scenes as the rider hit speeds over 100mph. Imagine filming with a bulky 70's camera while riding pillion at high speed!

Good catch on the color scheme. I also noticed that the Pursuit Falcons and the Interceptor Falcons are painted differently. Tough call on which one is better... but I think the multiple stripes down the hood is the way to go. And the rims painted yellow is a must. Holy crap... I gotta do this!
