Crossram Bolts

I am in the reassembly phase of my cam swap. When taking things apart, I did not realize the intake manifold bolts are all different lengths. I know the shortest bolts go on the ends (as shown in the pic), what is the order that the different length bolts in the manifold?

If only they had cast the required length right onto the manifold itself....... right next to the holes the bolts go in.

You should be able to see a different thickness on each hole. Take the access plug out and look and measure.

I have found the lengths cast onto the manifold are a little longer than necessary.
And when I put them in, I use a thin piece of paper towel in the Allen socket, so that the bolt doesn't fall into the manifold. If the tiny piece of paper towel falls in, it won't hurt anything. (Could also use a little masking tape, if you worry about the pt).
Edit: and I would NEVER use lockwashers.

My plan for inserting the bolds is to magnetize my Allen Socket by rubbing on a magnet. If that doesn't hold the bolt, I will try your paper towel trick.

Tape the allen head socket to the extension. Shine a flashlight down the carb mount to help guide the bolt in. You may want to put a little pipe dope on the bolt threads so oil doesn't weep into the intake. Torque to 35 ftlbs.
