I think there's a Mustang somewhere in this photoI'm hip. Call me old school, but a car you just bought new, and haven't done a bloody thing to has no place at these shows. Me and a buddy went to a local show two weekends ago (he in his '67 300 ragtop and me in the Coronet)... and parked beside us were three brand new Mustangs!
Funny thing though: no one was looking at the Mustangs.
Yeah – don’t know what to think about all the newer muscle cars at ‘old’ car shows with more and more of them at shows now. One huge show in MN has a show where anything later than 1964 isn’t allowed! Huh? Think of the hugely popular legendary rides made btw say ’65 and ’72 that are left out. I have a ’63 but going to a show that’s a four + hour ride from me…not to see anything from that era – nah.I'm hip. black and a red strip
Thanks, but actually the stripe is hemi orange. It was painted on, before the clear. Hemi orange has gold flake in it. We added extra flake, so it would pop in the sunlight.black and a red strip
That right there is the main reason I quit going to Cruise Ins and Shows. Too many of the new crap being allowed in. I get it though as those newer rides do have some impressive out puts and looks but it ain't Ol' Muscle and cruisers...Getting old allows me to be less comfortable when in these types of gatherings...cr8crshr/Billboy1 and i took the vert out to the local cruise night. no parking due to all the damn new mustangs, new vettes, new camaros. and some vovlos, audits, beemers. mebbe 200 cars

A comical story I'd like to toss out: Was meeting a couple at a car show at a drive-in. Rain was forecast so decided given the distance from home, to drive our daily instead of putting my car in the show. The entrance was kind of confusing btw spectators and entry...so as I drive in...with our '09 Sonata...the guy asks me if I'm putting my car IN the show! Actually I was tempted to enter it for the grins...kinda sorry I didn't. I likely missed a lot of extra laughs. That right there is the main reason I quit going to Cruise Ins and Shows.
