CRUISIN' THE COAST 2020 Mississippi Gulf Coast..Hurricane DELTA gone, IT'S ON! Saturday 10/10!

140 AMP alternator. The only things using power this time when this happened was:
Ignition system
Radiator fan
Dakota Digital gauges and DD fan control module, and all of the DD stuff doesn't draw much power.
I don't understand why one or both of the 30 amp breakers don't trip before the 200 AMP breaker.
NONE OF THIS SHOUD BE HAPPENING!
2 different mechanics, 2 different cars, BOTH having serious problems AFTER they said "car is ready:bs:, pay me and pick up the car".

Bioguy,

Sorry about your troubles, hope you work it out! Going to da' Bay Thursday? Hope to see you there. Fighting an idle problem on one of my cars for weeks, maybe I'll bring that one and we can piss and moan together! LOL. I'll be the one idling in at 1300 in Drive!

Yes, going to Mopars In Da' Bay Thursday, with my Roadrunner, IF I can get the flex fan to fit and not eat my Cold Case radiator or Wraptor.
Other than Saturday, usually the biggest day, the Thursday Mopar event (formerly held in Long Beach before they "got shitty" with us, like they were doing US a favor)
Bay St. Louis, otoh, was not only welcoming, but asked "What can we do for YOU, oh great mass of Mopars?"
I want to have my car there very much!

Pulling for you buddy!

Got up before dawn today...Looking forward to having at least a 45 minute head start on the fun and venue parking next year, after trying to get our "place" built on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for 3 years now...Still, in the past, we have arrived in Downtown Biloxi earlier than this morning and not found a place on one of the main streets to park our cars...but today we got a primo parking spot.
So we left the house for about an hour and 10 minute ride to Biloxi for the "Biloxi Block Party" which has always been a "challenging" venue to make and get a good parking spot. We got a GREAT spot on the MAIN street!! Not sure how or why so little traffic, but could be the Wuhan Flu and threat of the hurricane.
Anyway, here's some more pictures:

My flex fan and spacers should be waiting for me to get back home.

^^^ The seat covers are made from Crown Royal bags?, whole new meaning to "half in the bag".

Are attendees who drove in starting to thin out and head north and west?

"400" R/T Challenger...Back in the 70s, we thought those were boat anchors...
If only I could have had a stroked 400..

Hard to say Dennis. I know attendance was down this year, I'm sure the Wuhan China flu was part of the reason, the biggest part.

WOO HOO! I got around to trying out the Durale flex fan, CVF Wraptor fan pulley spacer (½" and required) and the 1" spacer from Jegs. I just got 4x 2½" bolts, stainless lock washers and washers, and that is going to clear the Wraptor AND only take up about 1¾" of the 3" of space I have! If this fan "works" to keep my engine from overheating, I will see if I can get a larger diameter than this 17" diameter fan, same style, AND add a pusher fan to the front of the AC condenser.
For now, if this clears everything (it sure looks great to me) and keeps the temp at an acceptable level, I can FINALLY get my Roadrunner to Cruisin The Coast 2020!
 :bananadance: :confederateflag: :usflag: :moparsmiley: :thankyou:

I needed the brass colored sleeve on both the water pump pulley to CVF spacer (black) and the CVF spacer to Jegs fan spacer. I would like to have the sleeve machined shorter, as long as that fraction of an inch is NOT needed for clearance to the Wraptor components, so the CVF black spacer lays flat against the pulley (I don't think that space is required). For now, I will look at the stack of 2 spacers from the side, and check for any kind of wobble.
Tomorrow morning I'll put the radiator back in, fill 'er up, and see if the temperature is good.
Thanks again for the support!

If that works it'll be a great fix. More simple = less to break!

Too hot at idle stationary for me to be happy, around 218° no AC
Moving temp is ok.
2x 10" or 2x 12" pusher fans may make the combo fine. I want to try the 18" diameter version of this fan. A shroud may help.
FOR TODAY, this will work.

I'm heading out soon.

I have the same setup on a 540 Hemi that idles at 185-190 but I have a shroud on it. The shroud made all the difference in the world at idle. Maybe your original Mopar shroud could be put on for now.

Fan shrouds are one of the most underrated pieces of equipment to keep cars cool. They are needed! Try that first!

Bio I think you will be surprised if you install a shroud. Hope you get it going for tomorrow.

Oh, it's going TODAY, Thursday! Unfortunately I was late and caught the end of the MOPARs In Da Bay show, but I got to see a number of people in my MOPAR family, and they were encouraging re the upgrades etc I did.
My mechanic said my factory shroud may work with the flex fan I have, to which I replied "the shroud I sold?!":BangHead:
I already PM the forum member who bought it, but I need dimensions to see if it will work. I really want the 18" diameter version of this fan anyway, and I know there are lots of relatively "cheap" custom shrouds that can be made.
It's been fine today temperature wise, timing lights so I don't get stuck sitting still too long, but at 40+ MPH it's GREAT, 185-190 max.
