I have a chance to purchase a very clean all original 1966 Belveder 4 door. I would like to make it into a reliable daily driver. What are some of the things to think about before jumping in?

Old MoPars have trouble with the bulkhead connector so I highly recommend you unplug the three individual connectors and clean every terminal. Get a small thin file or scraper and start working. If any connectors are loose just squeeze them with a pair of small needle nose pliers. I have gone as far as removing the individual connectors to clean them or just replace them.

Yup, and when you go back together, coat all the connectors with dialectic grease! Also, in 67, many things changed as far as safety goes like dual master cylinder, collapsible steering column, 4 way flashers were standard etc...

These tips are great! I was also thinking about going with electronic ignition and putting power disc brakes on the car. Any tips on these things would also be great. What brake kits work best?

I've always used stock parts which worked pretty well IF you went with a top grade brake shoes/pads.....and electronic ign is cool but I'm good with the point systems too but they also need to have the best parts for the tune to last and that would be Blue Streak ign parts. My tune ups would last for a year or longer and I drove my cars daily.
