By the way, the VHX gauge set I have is NOT "the top" package they offer.
There is the HDX, which I had never heard of (3 plus years ago when I bought my gauge set).
The differences are touched on in the chart below:
Out of all of those "step up" capabilities, the only things I can think of as being advantageous are:
Integrated warning indicator lights
App config (for easier set up and adjustments)
Possibly the larger TFT message screen vs the 2 smaller LED screens on my VHX. BUT..
If I can display the left O2 sensor and the right O2 sensor of my Innovate Motorsports dual wideband system on their respective LED screens, that may allow me to either place the gauge someplace more discreet than I have it now, or eliminate it altogether. I'm not sure how the ONE large TFT display on the HDX or RTX system would display that data, but I know it can do it.
Yeah, it's a $700 decision, and that's looking like a LOT of money for the difference.

I'm not sure where I pulled that image from that has the small gauges reversed, BUT THE GAUGES ARE IN THE CORRECT FACTORY POSITION ON ALL OF THE DAKOTA DIGITAL GAUGE KITS:
