Hey everyone , I have a Dana 60 30 spline .
How do u know if its posi and if its a good one and what in this one .
How much is it worth and so on .

That is an open rear end.

I looked it up got it ,,, open for the street is better so I want an open right

Open means only 1 tire will do a burn out, sure grip means it will leave both tire marks when burning out. What gear ratio is stamped on the gears?

The Dana 60 housing is built like a tank. The center section you want is either. Power loc or sure grip. The power lock and sure grip look different! Power lock if I remember correctly is a two piece housing, made by spicer in the 60's. The stronger of the two. Also 4 spider gears vs 2. Buying current product would be a Detroit Trac lac, which is a cone based posi unit. The Dana pinion engages the ring gear with 2 teeth.
