If your truck doesn't have the DEF, run 1oz. of 2 stroke oil per gallon of fuel. Your injectors and VP44 will thank you.

Thanks 5.7, does it just help lube the pump??? I've been using the Lucas treatment about every other fillup, then every 8 mos or so I use the Hotshots diesel extreme...I try and keep from ever geting below a 1/4 tank...
 
Really depends on the year. In 99', Dodge switched the way the VP44 got lubrication. It used to be lubed by the engine oil, then in 99', it was decided to use the diesel to lube it......that was a HUGE MISTAKE! The VP44 has such tight tolerances and diesel fuel doesn't really have the needed lubricity. I don't add any fuel stabilizer, just the 2 stroke oil. I also use a FASS Titanium fuel pump, I have ZERO problems. I try not to go below 1/2 tank.
 
I've been waiting on it to fail and when it does I was going to get the upgraded pump with either the Fass or A dog...$1500 goes a long way in my coronet...until I need my truck for work I guess...Mine is an 02...thanks Ill try that though, sounds reasonable.

Well my truck is out of surgery it's been horrible I literally bought $500 just in bearings . Thank god for Joe at elite vintage Auto he got threw it and got it fixed and just in time for an 8 hour haul so fingers crossed he didn't over look anything I did tell him bare minimum as I'm flat broke.

Well we made it ,it took all day but we got the little Shelby home . Now I'm trying to figure out why I went to get it in the first place. Besides being super ugly it's actually very solid looks like the trunk lid and one little bubble on the 1/4 that's all the rust . It's got lots of extra parts too . But first thing first bug bombs and a pressure wash

Oh yeah some a hole cut me off then decided that he had to stop in front of me very shot,so as my brakes are going crazy (abs system) my wife going crazy (no clue what system that is need to find the off button) anyway I hear a thud figured I sheared my Trailer ball nope the rear strap broke off and the car took off into the tool box on the trailer ,thank god it had 4 flat tires it stayed on the trailer only cracked the box lid (plastic) so no one got hurt (the *** that cut me off took off after he stopped to see if anyone was hurt and I told him to stay there once I'm done hear I'll get a new strap and take care of him . I guess he got scared. Anyways besides that we went to my wife's grandparents grave site in Tampa (vets only) it was amazing the local rotc came and placed flags next to every head stone thing (they all layed flat ) anyways there were 1000's of flags flaping in the breeze it was amazing they did that .
 
Sounds like along day with a incredibly somber end...
Glad y'all made it safely...that Shelby looks prime for a 5.7 hemi swap...
 
I don't know I haven't decided yet I want cheap because every other car is expensive I found a 92 Mitsubishi vr4 gallant for cheap there awd turbo 5 speed and I was thinking of retrofitting the awd stuff under the Shelby these turbo 4 cyl move figured I can get people to say they want to race my charger then pull the OK swicharoo and bring the 340 mag or the 440 mag car out to play.
I was also thinking about making it a dedicated scca race car and just have fun for once
