"My dash" = what year make and model?

1960-1962 Chrysler has a gloss dash. We wait for a early b-body person to reply. Maybe put the car in the title of this thread.

My untouched 62 savoy dash (other than the instrument panel, lol) appears to me to be a semi gloss. There is a "sheen" to it, but not what I would consider gloss. Then again, it is 62 year old paint (medium blue).
I can try to get a pic in a few hours (camera would be looking into the rising sun, and camera-phone colors leave something to be desired, anyway.)

Open the glove box doo and see what it looks like inside the door or door jamb. No sun fading or wear inside there.

Usually a satin finish. You could pick your dash colour, and then spray over it with satin clear to get the desired result. Try it on another piece of metal first.

My 63 original paint is glossy.
Good idea looking inside of the glove box.

This 63 is a repaint of factory color and shine.
Got reflection to it under the lights.

The inside of the lid on my 62 savoy is about 95% covered by what is left of the cardboard glove box. What is visible appears to be identical to the passenger side of the dash.
I would certainly call it satin or semi gloss. It's not flat, there is some shine, just not much.

Yeah my 64 and 65 Belvedere both had a satin/semigloss blue.
The 64 had a pad the 65 we duplicated the finish when rebuilding the car.
Not the best photos.

I believe you will find the paint code for interior colors in the service manuals

I would have sworn my black on black 64 Sport Fury I owned in the late 60s had gloss back paint on the lower dash. But that was a long time ago so maybe it was a semi-gloss. My only interior picture isn’t much help.
