dash bezel piece

Thanks for the pictures. I ran into a problem. I pulled all the trim off but where the radio is there should be a different bezel, which i didn't realise, but I'm wondering if i should make my own? The previous owner trashed the old radio and put in a new Sony cd player which i wanted to move to the glove box but since that's kinda hard for me to change songs and stations while I'm driving if i just make something to hold the cd player until i get the bezel and a radio (assuming that's going to cost an arm and leg) Also the Radio delete option that would just be a solid plate over the radio holes?

69,

They make a plastic pan a newer style radio slides into, then could mount to the bottom of the dash. I got a detachable faceplate on mine and when you pull it off you can barely spot the radio under there......Just an idea

Thanks Prop!
Didn't think of that. Might try that if i can't make something to fit where it is now.

Hey just while i'm thinking of it do you have to pop the whole dash to get the metal behind where the satellite panels were? where the roadrunner emblem and decal sit. Just wondering so i can fix the holes and repaint it.

So i painted the bezel i bought from 69runner (thanks again!) and it's ready to install but i'm not sure how to install it? How do i pop the leather on the dash out? I'm afraid i'll break something but i unscrewed everything and nothing comes out... Also like in my post above does the metal piece where the roadrunner emblem and decal are come out easily? So i can patch the holes and repaint it.

if by leather piece you mean the lower dash pad, that is held on by speed nuts from the back side of the dash and as for the metal you want to repaint you would have to pull out your entire dash witch would also involve removing your windshield

Thanks morbidgoat, I guess i'll have to try something else i'm not removing my windshield lol. I guess thats it, not sure what it was called. I'll have to see if i can find those speed nuts.
Thanks!!!
