I thinking about pulling the dash frame out of my '70 Bee and restoring it myself.

I'm wanting a stand to stand it on. It would be in my home office, not the garage.

Does someone sell a stand for doing this?

I'm considering making one out of pvc pipes

thoughts?

I completely removed and tore down my 69 Dash frame. I had to weld it up and do some repairs. I placed it in three positions: 1. On a portable workstand (black and decker folding) that has clamps built in (very good for welding) 2. On two saw horses (placed like a V). 3. On a table with an ammo-box supporting the back edge (not very stable).

I found that two saw horses placed at angles worked the best to allow for rotation and solid support. After you get it out, you will see what I mean. These pictures may give you an idea. One is on the portable stand and the other is on a full size table. I welded on the clamping table, painted on the saw horses and finished assembly on the flat table.

I made a rotisserie for restoring dashboards. Life is much easier when can roll it over to where you're working. It's adjustable in width to accommodate different cars as well.
