Dash voltage regulator

When adjusting the arm I should bend the tab in the top of the sender for a higher reading on the gauge is that right
First of all unless the arm is really screwed up it will change nothing by bending it. With the unit out, wire hooked up and a good ground you should be able to operate the sender and see the gauge move its full sweep. Try that before bending anything. My bets are it still will not go to full.

Should I buy another sender and take a chance it will be my 4th one

Just want it to work and everything I do doesn’t help

Won’t go past half a tank so then it reads empty and I don’t know how much gas I have in it horrible driving like that

So if I get this meter match I don’t have to take the sender out just install it and adjust to correct fuel level on the gauge?

The answer is No yhou do not have to pull the sender. Give the meter match 12volts and a ground and cut your blue wire going to the sender attach as follows.
Blue wire shown as Green.

What I did is drain the tank and added 3 gallons. Set the switch to low end setting. Turned the key on and adjusted the needle so it was on empty. I adjust and tap the gauge bezel to make sure the needle was were I wanted it. Then you hit the save button. Then I filled the tank right full. Set the switch to upper end setting and got the needle one needles width past the full mark. Tap the bezel the same to make sure the needle is where I wanted it. Again hit the save button. There are other things you can do and you can program a low fuel light or alert. They just were not needed for me. I found out when it was on half about 9-10 gallons filled it. To me my gauge is better than when the car was new.

Ok thanks I’ll order one hopefully it works for me did you cut into the harness by the kick panel for the blue wire

Rich you had asked about a rebuilder this is the guy I was going to use I spoke with him here’s very nice and been doing it a long time

I have 2 extra sending units for the car I hook the up outside the car ground and blue wire snd the gauge works perfect E Half Full as I move the float arm but once I put it in the car the gauge won’t go past when the tank is full why does it work fine outside the car but not once installed I’m using the same ground wire
