Hey Guys,

I am a newbie here, if this in the wrong forum I appoligize.

I am restoring a 70 RoadRunner and I am in the tear down phase. I am trying to remove the dashboard and have hit a snag. I have removed the to bolts on either side of the kick panels and have remove the 5 bolts where the windshied was but it looks like there is a rivet still holding it in. Do I have to drill the rivet out to get it out? Thanks for a all info

No rivets that I know of.....but there is probably a brace going from the bottom of the dash and up in the area just to the right of center. I just pulled a dash out of a 67 Coronet and it had one.

I just dif the same thing on my 70 RR as well, and there were no rivets, and this is the first time it's been out of the car. The only other thing that may get in the way is the two studs that support the steering column to the brace, but if you've removed the two side bolts already, though, these should not be a problem.

Hey ok

Alright am I missing something then,I took the column completely out and I removed the bolts under the dash on either side and the 5 screws in the window track there appears to be one more smoothe head bolt that sticks down is there a nut on that? Is there anything else holding it in?

Not aware of another bolt either...may take a bit of force as the windshield adhesive can keep quite a grip on it. Heat gun could soften it up a bit and it should come right out.

Thanks guys

Thanks for the help, I got it out today!
