This starter didn't seem to fit my 440 so I'm offering it for sale here. DB Electrical only offers a replacement and not a refund. I will ship for free to anyone on the east coast. If out west, just buy one on ebay. Of course, they are made in China. $60.00

You have to unscrew/takeoff that black plastic piece. It will fit

I tried that. Then the terminals are uncomfortably close to the block and I wouldn't be able to get the wires on. Also, it would not go all the way into the bellhousing. It was not worth my bother.
