Looks like a 1969 Plymouth road runner Not A12 and not from Lynch Road plant.

3 speed wiper
Drip rail moulding
tachOmeter
Fresh air hood
AM radio
Hood performance paint (always black)
B7 roof
B7 body
M28 is really M2B for blue vinyl bench seat
B7 is upper door frame paint
B29 is Nov 29th 1968 scheduled production date
225 has digits missing

tell us more about this car.

It's a 69 roadrunner....it has an UNORIGINAL 383, and 4 speed now, but I don't know what it came with from the factory...
Here is VIN

RM23H9G178509

The fender tag will tell you what engine and trans it came with. Look on bottom line left side what are the first 6 digits? I see by the VIN it was a 383.

If it is a 69-71.

J25 - 3 speed wipers
M21 - Roof Drip Rail Moulding
N85 - Tachometer
N96 - Fresh Air Package
R11 - AM radio
V21 - Performance Hood Treatment
B7 - B7 Blue Paint
M28 - Front Bumper Periphery Moulding
B7 - B7 Blue Upper door frame (interior)
B29 - November 29, 19xx build date
225 - February 25, 19xx build date

I've deduced that it's a 70-71 from the code M28.

However, there wouldn't be 2 build dates in the same tag, so these must be codes from different tags??

Think of the format like this (and assume there could be errors in typing such as mistaking an B for an 8 and omitting numbers in the VON)

j25 m21 n85 n96 r11 v21
b7 b7 m28 b7 b29 225

Bottom line of tag will tell you if it's an original four speed. D21-4sp, D32-727.
St Louis built car. 69 b-bodies built in LA, St.L, and Lynch road. Tag formats different for all three.

That makes sense. I guess I wasn't thinking of the layout as much as just looking at the codes and saying what they were! When you lay it out like that it makes much more sense!

Do you have a picture of the tag?
