Legends of the fall
The Wife and I saw this on our 4th date and were in too bad of a mood to have sex afterward. Private Ryan was a cock blocker.Saving Private Ryan,, my father was with the 29th Infantry at Omaha Beach. Month later, he was at The Battle of St Lo, which was the town where the bridge scene was, at the end of the movie. A few things became clearer after finding this out.
No. I was depressed. That I actually watched. I first thought? "There is no way this is about sharks falling from the sky from a tornado?" I was wrong. Those movies were not depressing, just trashy.
Granite Mountain Hot shots? I want to go visit the tree they saved in the movie.Only The Brave
That’s for sureThe Wife and I saw this on our 4th date and were in too bad of a mood to have sex afterward. Private Ryan was a cock blocker.
The Wrestler was, I thought, quite amazing. I was impressed that Mickey Rourke took on this role, playing a character so unglamorous and broken.I've seen "American Beauty" mentioned along with Vanishing Point.
Obviously this topic is a matter of opinion but sometimes a movie is rolling along and BAM, the ending is a dramatic and unexpected tragedy. That can tarnish the entire movie for many. Instances like:
American Beauty.
Vanishing Point.
Dirty Mary Crazy Larry.
Million Dollar Baby.
Easy Rider too.
Some were sad most of the way and the end just followed through.
"Sideways" WAS a slow going movie. You almost have to be a wine fan to appreciate it.
"The Wrestler" was sad but in the end, it was almost inspiring. The guy screwed up his life and was living off of former glory and refused to just sit in a chair and fade away.
