The wood grain wheel on my 67 GTX, production date 6/28, has solid metal spokes not cut out. The cutout wheel got the name "finger cutter" for obvious reason. Did the later production cars have the cutout spoked wheel replaced with the solid spoke?

Not 100% on the Plymouth stuff but the early Chargers had that swap done.

Sounds plausible, having the factory revert to the 66 style. I know Ive seen cars years ago like this. It would have the plymouth button.

I love the wheel and have been told it is absolutely correct. I drove a brand new 1967 GTX with a wood grain wheel, but my memory of 45 years ago is a bit fuzzy.

The finger cutter wheel is ugly anyway, the solid spoke one is a nice wheel though

I checked with Dave at www.mmcdetroit.com and he said the solid spoke wheel was introduced late in the model year at various times at different plants, but he has no internal Chrysler memo stating that.
