Hey racer guys, i thought you may have the best answer to this question.

I am looking to replace my rear tires. The Bee came with M/T 28x10x15 Sportsman S/R's when i bought it.

Almost time for new tires, looking on various sites, and prices.

What is the difference in M/T Sportsman S/R's and M/T ET Street Radials.

Seems there is a $20-30 price difference between the two tires on different sites.

Tread pattern and rubber compound for starters. Go to their website and you can get a complete breakdown of the differences.

S/R's are for cruising and E/T streets are a cheater slick. That is a very basic explaination

And the cheater slicks dont last with there soft compound on the street.

I hyave thesportsmans on my 65 dodge. They atre good but wear out fast. M/T ET treets are a race slick with a few grooves legal to drive on the street. They hook great.

Buddy of mine has the E/T streets on his 04 GTO. He was on his way back home from the track on wet pavement. He told me it got dicey a few times.

I had the Sportsman Pros on my 65 Coronet also. I hardly ever drove the car. When I took them off the car the tread was gone so I agree with SSR. They wear out quick! I don't know about the new style M/T S/R though.

I like the. Sportsmans, the Coronet had them on when I got it, don't know how much tread the have new, but I assume they were about 3/4 used up when I got the car.

I have put about 9000 miles on the car since 12/09, it was a daily driver till I got the reliant. I have driven in the rain, both road and freeway and it has never suprised me with bad traction, without my making it do anything at least. Never done a smoke show with them, I want to get another set, before I use the old ones up.
