Difference on B Body Upper Control Arms

Although I'll add that changing those UCA bushings an the 73 and up arm is quite the exercise and is not documented in any FSM.

Back in the day you were advised to "replace as an assembly" which is not an option today.
There are proper bushing replacement, and removal, tools by lots of tool manufactures to get that job done.
Nothing hard at all by anyone that is competent in doing suspension work.

Pretty sure that tool won't do the job.

Nothing accounts for the bar through the middle.

Tell me, and others why the bushing tool kit doesn't do the job?
Tools like that have been in existence in professional repair shops for decades.
Bet you could find lotsa You Tube videos mechanics have posted, getting the job done, with using those tools.

I spent hours and hours searching youtube.

absolutely NOTHING on 73 and up Mopar UCA.

NOTHING

Not even anything here on FBBO!

and as mentioned before, nothing in any FSM.

That's why I documented the process myself!

Who cares if it's not covered in any service manual as you say.
Things that a auto mechanic has to do in a repair of a car has to do with common sense in the repair job that he's doing.
A mechanically inclined person should has the skill and know how in doing the task on hand, without having to look something up in a book all the time.
You ever been a professional, wrenching, auto mechanic in your lifetime?
That's how i earned my living for decades, after discharging out of the Air Force.
If i had to look up everything, thinking it would be in print for everything that i had to do, i would be loosing time on the job, and money.
Wheres this documentation of yours, that you say, anyway??
Lets look at your method.
Take me, and others here for bushing repair college, and teach us your technique, if you would.

Not sure how this turned into a you vs me thing...

...but here it is.

I should be ashamed of myself for letting slip that part of my previous job was technical documentation writer and not going back and prettying up the procedures.

I could certainly document the sizes of the rigid pipe I used, one that just barely clears the bushing flange, and one that rests on the flange close to the ID.

At least the pictures are decent.

Yes, bushings can be R & R'd with your method, store bought bushing removal tools, using a Dremel, using a die grinder, cut of wheels, torching out the bushing rubber, using an air hammer, hydraulic press, or whatever tools a mechanic has on hand in comfortably getting the job done.
Me, and shops, that i worked at, had proper tools for doing lots of suspension work, repairs, to get the job done, and out the door.
Lots of ways to get the job done.
Whatever floats your boat, as long as it works for the end result.
